Grateful For You -Simon Says Stamp’s Wednesday Challenge

Hello. Thanks for stopping by. Honestly, I wasn’t sure it I would post any blog post this week. I struggled really hard this weekend, with the anxiety and scary thoughts I’m sure most of us are struggling with. It was really hard to pick a challenge, or idea to post about. On Saturday I worked on a different kind of craft project (I’ll share on Friday), along with a canvas I have been painting. The only cards I really wanted to make were more thank you and support cards.

I had a bit of better luck on Saturday, when I looked at the Wednesday challenge for Simon. The theme is Anything Goes, with the feature product being Gina K Designs. I have tons of Gina K paper and envelopes, but only one stamps set. Thankfully, when I pulled out the stamp set, inspiration struck!

Using the Tiny Wreath Builder Stencil, stamps and Little Thoughts, I created a little wreath in the corner of a panel of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock. The ink colors for the wreath are Altenew’s Ultramarine, Grass Fields and Firefily, along with a little bit of Delicata Golden Glitz.

I stamped the sentiment, from Little Thoughts, with Verafine Clair Nocturne ink, and heat embossed it with Gina K clear powder. I added the panel to a Hero Arts Pitch Black card base, using Scor Tape and fun foam.

I was trying to keep this card unisex, so that I could send it to a local hospital. I added a white panel to the inside of the card, so I can stamp a message and write a note.

It’s a pretty simple, almost one layer cards. The wreath builder stencil makes creating a pattern like this so easy!

Thanks for stopping by, and stay safe!
