Happy Wednesday! I hope you are willing to sit through another watercolor background with me, as that’s what I have for you today.
Let me back up. Today’s card is for Pinkfresh Studios’ May Challenge. This month the theme is Anything Goes. Wahoo! There is a inspiration image as well.
I don’t have a lot of Pinkfresh Studios products, and I wanted to do something different… So I got out all of my sets and picked the Dream World Series set.
I had this stunning background I made with Blue Blitz Nuvo Shimmer Powder. I wish you could see the shimmer in real life. Anyway, I wasn’t sure what to do with this panel as I didn’t want to cover up too much. I thought adding these sentiments would be perfect.
I stamped the sentiment with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and embossed it with clear powder. I added the watercolor panel to a black card base with fun foam. I also stamped a sentiment from the set on the envelope, in Altenew Ultramarine.
I really, really wish you could see this card in person. The shimmer is so beautiful, especially where the color is concentrated. I have a couple more of these intense backgrounds I need to do something with. Any suggestions?
