Hot Foil

Celebrate- Pinkfresh Studios

Hi! I’m popping in to say I’m still hanging in here. I finally jumped onto the hot foil bandwagon, pushed to it by Pinkfresh Studio’s March release. I mean, come on. The Joyful Peonies are stunning!

This is the first card I made with hot foils. I’m entering it in the Pinkfresh Studios April challenge, since the theme is gold.

Here you go!

The background is the Abstract Cube, stamped with Gold Delicata ink. For the flowers, I heat foiled the Joyful Peonies in gold foil (it came with the Glimmer machine). Then, I blended Altenew inks for the flowers and leaves. Once I had the images colored, I die cut them with the matching dies.

For the sentiment, I hot foiled the new Celebrate HF plate with the same gold foil. I die cut the sentiment with the matching die, and layered two more die cuts behind it. I added a coulple of layers to my peonies as well, then added them to the background. The card base is Gina K Design’s Barely There.

I only have this picture because this card went right into the mail. But, it was sooo pretty, I’ll be making more.

BONUS CARD:

I did make a mini slimline card with the stencils, on craft card stock. I inked the images with white pigment ink before inking over it with color. I gold foiled Happy Birthday using a plate that came with the Glimmer machine. I matted this panel on gold foil cardstock before adding it to a card base.

I added some gems to lighten up all the kraft, and because gems are pretty 🙂

Thanks for stopping by!
