Welcome back! I hope this week is going well for you. I have something, new to me, to share with you. Altenew is hosting a challenge on Instagram called the #FloralFriday challenge. The details are on the post I linked, but basically make a project featuring Altenew floral stamps.
I don’t know if this card qualifies as featuring flowers, but it does have some flowers from Altenew, along with a new product I was dying to try from The Greetery.

Isn’t that brick effect cool? That is The Greetery’s Brick Layer dies. I die cut them from Distress Watercolor cardstock, thinking I was going to watercolor around them. Instead, I used a handmade shimmer paint from Hydracolor behind the bricks. I wish you could see the shimmer and color shift that you see in real life. You can se a tiny bit below.

The flowers and sentiment are from Altenew’s Remember This. I stamped the images in Gina K Amalgam ink and colored them with Copic markers. I die cut the tag shape from The Stamp Market’s Scallop Frame die set and Gina K Design Soft Stone cardstock. I stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink and embossed it with Wow Opaque White Detail powder.
I popped up the sentiment tag with foam tape, and tucked the flowers around the sides, hiding the tags hole. I finished off the card with a soft stone card base and some Purple Rain Nuvo Glitter drops.
I can’t wait to play around with the brick dies some more. My original idea was to layer a large flower over them.
Thanks for stopping by, and stay safe!
