Hope You Feel Better Soon – Altenew

Welcome back! Today is a quick post, sharing the card I made for Altenew’s Inspiration Challenge. This challenge is a bright, light image, so I made a bright, light card?

I was a little frustrated, as this image inspired me to color something, and I realized I only have one stamp set from Altenew that I could color. It’s a favorite, but I wanted to color something bigger.

I stamped the image from Altenew’s Extra Special with Gina K Amalgam ink and colored it with Copic markers. For the background, I mixed some Altenew Vanilla ink with water and a little Hero Arts Shimmer ink. I used a wide, square watercolor brush to make the strips.

While the background was drying, I die cut the colored image, along with a fun foam version, to add dimension. I glued the colored image to the fun foam with liquid adhesive.

I stamped the sentiment (from Altenew’s Sentiment Strips) on a strip of Gina K Kraft cardstock with Versamark ink, and heat embossed it with Wow Opaque White Detail powder. I added the sentiment to the flower image, then added the flowers to the background with liquid adhesive.

To finish off the card, I added the panel to a Kraft card base, using Scor-Tape. I also added Orange Marmalade Nuvo Jewel Drops to the flower centers.

I’m really pleased with the soft, watercolor background, and the touch of shimmer. It doesn’t come across well in pictures, but it’s awesome in person.

Thanks for stopping by!
