Happy half way to the weekend. I’m really excited about the card I’m sharing today. To me, if reflects my growth in card making. I wouldn’t say it’s the best card I ever made, but it’s tying together more elements, and building layers.
Today’s card was made for Simon Says Stamp’s Wednesday Challenge. I was a little bummed when I saw this week’s challenge, as teh card I made last year would have been perfect… But, this card worked out well. The theme this week is With Love, and the product focus is Simon Says Stamp.

When I was making last week’s Alcohol ink card, I used Alcohol Lift Ink. I stamped the lifted ink on a panel of Gina K Design’s Soft Stone cardstock. The stamp I used to lift the ink was Simon Says Stamp’s You Are background stamp. It’s hard to see, but the ink was a purple/pink color.
I trimmed down this piece and inked some Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide Ink with a Taylored Expression’s blending brush. Then, I sprayed some Hero Arts Gold ink spray from an old My Monthly Hero kit.

I die cut the Deco Heart die from Simon Says Stamp’s Plum Glitter cardstock, and three more times from Gina K Design’s Plum Punch cardstock. I used the shadow piece to die cut vellum. I layered them all together with liquid adhesive.
To wrap up the card, I added the inked panel to a Neenah Classic Crest Solar White card base, using fun foam. The sentiment is from Taylored Expression’s Simple Strips Background, and I added it with more liquid adhesive.
This card is so cool in person. I love how the shimmer spray changes when the light hits it.
Thanks for stopping by!

Beautiful, Nicole! I really like the vellum shadow, and that hold sparkle is awesome! TFS!
