Hey there, I am so, so glad you are here! It’s an honor to spend this time with you! Today I am sharing the card I made for this week’s Simon Says Stamp’s Wednesday Challenge.
This week the theme is Use A Stencil, and the product focus is Altenew. I happened to have a card base that I had already applied Altenew’s Broken Chevron stencil, using Altenew’s Soft Stone ink, in an attempt for another card. I thought this was a good starting place.
I had this stamped image from Altenew’s Extra Special already completed (I’m sorry, I don’t know what colors I used, it was in the pouch with the stamps). I wanted to add some foliage behind the image, but I didn’t have a good foliage die from Altenew, so I grabbed Stemmed Leaves from The Stamp Market. I die cut it twice from Lawn Fawn’s Pearlescent vellum.
I layered the vellum on the card base and attached it with tape runner. Next, I added the stamped image, tucking foam circles behind some of the flowers. For the sentiment, I die cut thanks from Altenew’s Signature Words 4 times from Gina K Design Slate cardstock. I added an Adhesive Sheet from Scrapbook Adhesives to the cardstock before die cutting, so that I could easily layer them together. Once I had them layered together, I added it to the card. I finished up the card with Sherbert Shimmer Nuvo Glitter Drops.
I love how the pearlescent vellum adds a nice kick to the background. That shimmer is awesome!
