Welcome back and happy Friday! This is a long weekend for much of us, so a little extra to look forward too. Today I have a cute card to share, to celebrate.
Today’s card is inspired by Lawn Fawnatics Challenge 68, Something New, Something Old.

The most recent item I have from Lawn Fawn is my free gift for my birthday, Party Kangaroo. In order to incorporate something old, I thought to use a previous birthday gift, Party Koala. It also has an Australia theme, and Australia can use all of our support right now!

I started out by stamping the images from both sets with Gina K Design Amalgama ink, and coloring them with Copic markers (the cupcake is from the Party Panda set). Then I die cut the images and set them aside. Next, I got out my pack of random Lawn Fawn patterned paper, and picked a pattern. I trimmed it down for my card, and then trimmed down a panel of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock.

Using the Taylored Expressions blending brushes, I blended Mowed Lawn and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide inks to the top and bottom of the Neenah panel. Then I added the colored images with foam tape. I added the Neenah panel to the patterned paper with fun foam, then the patterned paper with a tape runner, to a Neenah card base.
I finished off the card with Blizzard Glitter Nuvo Drops to the party hats, and Glossy Accents to the cherry.
What a fun card, and look, no watercolor (lol). It was a nice break to play with critters, it’s been a bit.
I hope you have a fabulous, long weekend! Thanks for stopping by!
Nicole
This is adorable! And as an Aussie, I say thanks!
