Merry Christmas – Hero Arts

Happy Wednesday! And, welcome back. I’m happy to have you here! Today is just a quick post, sharing the card I made for A Blog Named Hero’s November challenge. The challenge this month is Muted Colors.

I’m still working on Christmas cards, so I grabbed the October 2018 My Monthly Hero kit, and some images I had previously colored. I decided to use the little girl I colored a light pink color.

I stamped the tree with Hero Arts Intense Black ink and die cut the image. I set the ink aside to let it dry, and worked on the background. I had the card base out of 110 lbs Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock. Using the stencil from the December 2017 My Monthly Hero kit, I blended some Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink.

With the tree dry, I colored it with Copic markers. Then I used the accompanying die to create the cuts and fluff the tree. Next, I stamped the sentiment from the kit with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink. Using liquid adhesive, I added the tree to the card front, then the little girl and the ornament. I added Glossy Accents to the ornament (it’s not yet dry in these pictures).

I liked coloring with muted colors, it’s gives the card a vintage look. I also liked getting to play with this fluffy tree again. It’s a simple, but elegant card.

Thanks for stopping by!
