Hey guys, welcome back. Today’s post is going to be super quick. I’m sharing the card I made for October’s Simon Says Stamp Instagram challenge. This month, the theme is favorite technique. I think you’ve figured out that using watercolor powders/crystals is my favorite technique.
I had a different card in mind for this challenge, but my idea didn’t work out, and well, I ran out of energy to make something different. Luckily, I made a card using this technique for my Christmas card series. So, it’s doing double duty for this post.

I started out stamping Concord & 9th’s Holly Berry Turnabout four times with Versamark ink, and embossing it with Wow Opaque White embossing powder (on Distress Watercolor cardstock). Next, I sprinkled Atlantis Burst Nuvo Shimmer Powder on the panel, then sprayed it with water. I set the panel aside to dry.

While the panel was drying I worked on the sentiment. I die cut the rectangle from Gina K Design Sea Glass cardstock using a die from the Holly Berry dies. I stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink and embossed it with more white powder. Using a Taylored Expressions blender brush I blended Altenew’s Aqualicious ink around the outside of the sentiment. I die cut the leaves from Holly Berry dies from Gina K Tranquil Teal and Lawn Fawn Pearlescent Vellum. I added them to the back of the sentiment.
When the panel was dry, I added the sentiment to the panel with foam tape. The card base is Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock.
So, there is a sneak peak of my Holly Berry post, lol. More to come later this month (I think October 25, but still working out the post order).
Thanks for stopping by!
