Welcome to another Monday, and another new week. This week is going to be a bit hectic for me, there is a lot going on at work. I meant to take it easy this weekend to prepare, but instead I drove myself a bit manic trying to make cards for the MFT Superstar Challenge. But, that’s another post (and therapy session).
This post is about the card I made for this week’s SSS Wednesday challenge, Bling it On. This week the feature product is Stamping Bella.
I got lucky this week and was able to take advantage of the Copic clearance sale at Hobby Lobby, so I thought I’d use Copic markers to color my favorite Stamping Bella set.
I started out by stamping the unicorn with Hero Arts Intense Black ink, then coloring the image. I die cut it with the matching die and set it aside.
The background was left over for playing around with stencils a few weeks ago. This one features the MFT Mini Staggered Rain drops stencil and Gina K Design Turquoise Sea Glitz Glitter gel, on Distress Watercolor cardstock. I trimmed the panel down to fit on a card front.
I die cut a cloud from vellum using Hero Arts Cloud Infinity dies. I also cut a strip of Gina K Soft Stone cardstock using a sentiment strip from MFT’s Vertical Heart dies. I stamped a sentiment from MFT’s Aim for The Clouds with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with Wow Opaque White powder.
I added the sentiment strip behind the unicorn, then added them both to the vellum cloud with tape runner. Next, I added the unicorn/cloud to the stenciled panel with foam tape.
A Gina K Soft Stone card base finishes the card.
This card came together pretty quickly, especially with the background already made.
