Hello Lovely-Simon Says Stamps Wednesday Challenge

Hello lovely! Today I’m taking us back to the beginning of my stamping days. Nothing like reminiscing on a Monday. Well, it’s not that far back, like two years :).

Todays card was inspired by Simon Says Stamp’s Wednesday challenge. This week it’s Anything Goes, paired with Concord & 9th products! Talk about a win-win situation!

I have had this idea in the back of my head for awhile. What idea you ask? To play with Concord & 9ths Many Mandala set, along with Altenew inks. The combination of 4 inks from one of Altenew’s ink sets would be perfect with the Mandala set.

The Many Mandala set was my first Concord and 9th set, which I purchased after seeing Jennifer McGuire use it. Sadly, they recently retired it. So, I thought I’d break it out and ink it up!

No surprise, I went with the coral set (the Tea Party set). I paired the Many Mandala set with the dies form the Hello Lovely set. I die cut the banner piece from Neenah Solar White Classic Crest cardstock and layered a strip of MFT’s Poppy cardstock behind it. I also cut Lovely from Poppy cardstock three times and adhered them with liquid adhesive.

To make my front panel, I used the largest Mandala die and cut an opening in 4 1/4in x 5 1/2in piece of Gina K Design’s Barely There Cardstock. I love the detail that the dies leaves.

I layered the Barely There panel over my stamped panel, and adhered it with a tape runner. I wish I had used foam tape now, but it’s still cute.

Next, I added the sentiments with liquid adhesive. Then I added some clear Wink of Stella to Lovely. The panel was added to a Neenah Solar White Classic Crest card base.

I did play around with other color sets while I had the Mandala set out, so keep an eye out for those. The Altenew ink sets make is super easy to stamp multi layer images. They take the guess work out of picking colors.

Thanks for stopping by!
