Happy Wednesday! Fittingly enough, I am sharing my first card for Simon Say Stamps’ Work it Wednesday challenge. This is a once a month challenge Simon hosts, on the third Wednesday of every month. Since it’s spring, the theme this month is Flowers.
I can dig flowers (oh, I didn’t even do that on purpose…). I mean, I love me some floral stamps. They are so fun to color, whether via layering ink stamps, or with markers and watercolors.
For this card, I was just playing around with a new to me stamp set, and wasn’t even sure it would turn in to a card. I really just got lucky!

I had the Fine Line Florals stamp set from Concord and 9th on my desk because I was playing with the sentiments. I was also curious about how the “fill in,” images would look stamped, with all the lines. Since I was playing around, I’m not exactly sure what the ink colors are. I think the larger flower is Coral Bliss, with Heart Beat for the smaller flower and Buttercream from the yellow (all Altenew inks). The flower centers are Espresso.

I stamped the little ink splotches with Altenew Jet Black ink. The sentiment is from Concord and 9th’s Hello Lovely, stamped in Versafine Black Onyx ink and embossed with clear powder.
I added Glossy Accents over the ink splotches, to add some dimension. The card base is MFT Poppy, and I added the panel with fun foam.
I’m sorry I didn’t keep good track of what I was using. I try to pile up and take a photo of the products for each card, but I wasn’t really sure this would end up as a card. I was surprised at how cool the lines turned out without the border image. It’s a really cool look!
Thanks for stopping by!
Nicole
