Let’s continue the glitteration (glitter celebration, lol) with some glitter AND sequins. We can pretend it’s not Monday by dazzling our eyes with the card I made for Pinkfresh Studio’s April challenge.
Pinkfresh Studio’s challenge for this month is Frames & Shakers. How fun! Here is the inspiration image.
I decided to use Hello With a Bouquet die cut from white cardstock, along with a frame around the outside, to make a large shaker element.
I die cut the hello from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock, along with a frame I made from Hero Art’s Rectangle Infinity dies. I layered both die cuts together with Scor-tape. I added acetate, then thin strips of foam tape (2 layers).
For the background, I used a panel I had made while testing Pearlescent Alcohol inks. After treating the foam tape with powder, I added Lucy’s Cards Ice Crystals sequins. Then I added the alcohol ink background. The card base is Gina K Design’s Wild Lilac.
Well, I kinda skipped any of the inspiration colors, but I did use a frame and made a giant shaker! I think, considering my track record, it’s a win! I really like the combination of the clear sequins and the alcohol ink background. I had a different panel, make with the new Silver Sparkle Yupo paper, but I felt that would have been too much with the sequins. I know, the maker of the unicorn card has a limit.
Thanks for stopping by!
