May All Your Wishes Come True-A Blog Named Hero

Hello weekend, my friend. I’d like to ring in this weekend with more fairies! Two of my favorite things (weekends and fairies that is). This weekend we are celebrating my son’s 18th birthday (I shared one of the cards I made for him on Wednesday). Well, this card definitely isn’t for him, but it’s still cute.

This card is actually for the A Blog Named Hero’s March challenge, Embossing. This challenge topic is great, almost as good as Anything Goes.

I’ve been using watercolor powders for a lot of cards recently, especially for the challenges at A Blog Named Hero, so I purposely avoided them with this card.

For the background, I stamped the Hero Arts Floral Doily stamp with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with Hero Arts Silver Embossing powder. SInce I wasn’t going to use watercolor powders, I decided to leave the image alone, and let the silver powder shine.

I stamped the fairy image from the December 2018 My Monthly Hero kit with Hero Arts Intense Black ink and colored her with Copic markers. I die cut the image from fun foam, and used that to add her to the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the MMH kit on to some MFT’s Tickled Pink cardstock with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with Wow Opaque White powder. I trimmed it down with a paper trimmer, layered some Neenah White Silver cardstock behind it, and added it to the card with foam tape. The card base is more Tickled Pink. I did add some of the sparkle gel pen from the MMH kit to the want and flowers in the fairies hair. Clear Wink of Stella was added to the wings.

I love the combination of the pink and silver, I think it’s rather elegant. I also like how the background has a lot going on, but it’s still a simple card.

Thanks for stopping by!
