Thank You Fairy Much-Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #49

How about some fairies to start off our weekend? I think that is a fabulous idea!

Happy Friday and welcome back. This weekend was a doozy (covering for a co-worker at work, yikes), so let’s kick the weekend off with some faries and Lawn Fawnatics!

The current Lawn Fawnatics challenge is to Case Yourself. Basically, remake one of your previous Lawn Fawn cards, with tweaks. I wasn’t quite sure what to do. A lot of my Lawn Fawn cards end up being crazy scenes, and I knew I was going to have limited time with Caitlin home for Spring Break. I finally decided to case the card I made with the Mini Picture Frames.

Here is the original card. I used the Dinosaur from Rawr (along with the sentiment), and teh moose from Dad and Me. The background was the Polka Dot Turnabout from Concord and 9th.

For the new card, I used the fairies from Fairy Friends (along with the sentiment). The fairies were stamped with Hero Arts Intense Black ink and colored with Copic markers. I ink blended backgrounds for them with Tumbled Glass and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide ink. The picture frames were die cut from Lawn Fawn’s Woodgrain Neutrals, and layered with three other’s die cut from colored cardstock.

For this card I used Concord and 9th’s Sketched Stripes stamped with Delecata’s Shimmery Silver ink. The sentiments were stamped on MFT’s Stitched Fishtail Sentiment Strips, and tucked under the pictures.

I added the pictures to the background with Scor-Tape, and added some Clear Wink of Stella to the Fairy wings. The card base is Gina K Design’s Soft Stone.

I think the card turned out cute. I probably would use a different background if I was going to do it over. Or it could just be the funk I am in at the moment. I was running out of steam when I got around to this card. I need more time on the weekends! Maybe we could make weekends 3 days? Or, how about we work 2 days and get 5 off? Even better!

Thanks for stopping by!
