Friday’s are the perfect day to add a little sparkle to your life, right? Today I am doing just that!
Today I’m sharing the card I made for Pink Fresh Studio’s March challenge. This month the challenge is Floral, with some pretty colors that I didn’t really use.

I will admit right off the bat that this card did not turn out how I wanted it to, and I fought it so much. I really wanted to do this with Brusho Crystals, but I tried three times and it just didn’t work (my stubborn @ss plans to try again when I’m more mellow, if that every happens). My final attempt was with Altenew watercolors. Not quite what I wanted, but it gets the job done.

I started out by painted the rainbow mane on Distress Watercolor cardstock as I mentioned above. Once it dried, I stamped the eyelashes and sentiment with Versaclair Nocturne ink, then heat embossed with Wow Hologram Sparkle powder. I apologize, it was dark by the time I finished this card and had to take it with bad lighting.

I had most of the flowers and leaves left over from other cards, and they are also embossed with the Hologram Sparkle powder (the cardstock colors are MFT Tickled Pink, Papertrey Ink Raspberry Fizz, Gina K Design Lovely Lavender, MFT’s Boysenberry and MFT’s Cool as a Cucumber). I die cut the ears from Lawn Fawn’s Pixie Dust glitter cardstock and Tickled Pink, then layered them together. The horn was stamped with Versamark ink and embossed with Hero Arts Silver Sparkle powder. The card base is Gina K Design’s Slate. There is a lot of sparkle on this card.
I can’t help thinking this would look so cool with the Brusho Crystal effect. I WILL figure out a way to make it happen!
Thanks for stopping by!
