Welcome back! I was back in my painting clothes this weekend, painting my bathroom. I couldn’t help myself and did the sparkle additive again. Unfortunately the color didn’t turn out quiet like I had hoped… I’m going to see if I can live with it, as I really don’t have the energy to paint the room again lol.
Back to card making! I made a point to spend some time in my craft studio this weekend. I started out with this week’s Wednesday challenge. How could I resist a challenge that features Concord and 9th and was “Make Your Own Background.” I hope using a turnabout stamp counts as making your own background.
I was going to use the new Lovely Blossoms turnabout, but then the Flower turnabout caught my eye.
I stamped the turnabout 4 times, using Altenew’s Frayed Leaf, Sea Breeze and Turquoise, along with Delicata’s Silver Shimmer. I did use the Hexagon die from Lovely Blossoms to die cut a panel to add to the center. I colored the thin outline with a Copic marker and added Wink of Stella.
The sentiment from the flower turnabout set was stamped with Altenew’s Turquoise ink. The tiny heart was die cut from Simon Say Stamps’ Aqua glitter cardstock.
I added the panel to a Gina K Design’s Blue Raspberry card base with fun foam. The envelope is Simon’s Island Blue.
It’s been awhile since I broke out the flower turnabout, but it’s still super easy to stamp. I went with a blue color scheme since I seem to be reaching for pink a lot, and I wanted to change it up a bit.
Thanks for stopping by!
Nicole
I LOVE your colors, Nicole, so pleasing, and a great sentiment, too! Thank you for sharing this with us at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge!
