Simon Says Stamps Wednesday Challenge-Party Time!

Happy Wednesday! Today is my first day back at work after a nice, long vacation. I’m sure I’m not the only one with work day blues. Hopefully the card I share with you today will brighten your day a bit!

This week the Simon Says Stamps Wednesday challenge theme is Party Time, and the featured products are Simon Says Stamps.

My party time card:

There are a ton of SSS products on this fun card! The stitched rectangle border and the stitched circles are all SSS dies. I used one of my alcohol ink backgrounds to layer under a panel of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock with the cut outs. This ink panel was not so pretty on it’s own, but the circles fall strategically on it’s best spots!

I die cut “Yay,”  using MFT Silver Sparkle cardstock, along with two from Neenah 100 lb. cardstock and layered them together. The Yay is from CZ Designs’ Yay stamp and die set. For the sub-sentiment, I took the “Happy Birthday Beotch,” stamp from CZ Designs’ Simple Sentiments, gently cut the Beotch off, and replaced it with “Boo,” from the same set. I stamped it with MFT’s Lush Lagoon, to draw some of the blue out of the alcohol ink panel. It comes across a bit more subtle in person.

The final step was to add some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Confetti sequins, and adhere the panel to a Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110 lb. card base.

This is one of those times I wish the card had photographed better. The silver from the sparkle paper pulls out the silver mixative from the alcohol ink, and the blue from the sentiment is not so bright, and ties in with the background.

I had a lot of fun making this card! It’s so happy and bright. It helped to bring me out of my crafting funk.

Thanks for stopping by!
