Paper Smooches- October Challenge

Welcome back. This month’s Paper Smooches challenge is to use Pink, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness.

There isn’t a lot to say about pink, so we’ll just jump right in!

I used the acrylic block stamping technique for the background. I used Picked Raspberry Distress ink and sprayed it with Shimmer spray and water. Then I placed the block on watercolor paper and smacked it hard to get the splatters. I left the block on the paper for about 10 minutes with something heavy sitting on it.

While that was drying I colored the cat from Chubby Chums with gray Copic markers and fussy cut it.

Once my panel was dry, I die cut the word thanks from it (and saved it for a future project). I also die cut the thanks from white card stock and inlaid it into the watercolor paper. I colored it with clear Wink of Stella.

I adhered the cat to my card with foam tape and added some Lucy’s Cards jewels in Raspberry. The card base was made with Gina K Design’s Passionate Pink.

I had a lot of fun making this card. I love the Picked Raspberry ink on this card panel. It’s so bright!

Thanks for stopping by!
