Simon Says Stamps Wednesday Challenge-Photo Inspiration

Hello and welcome back. Today I have a quick post to share with you the card I made for Simon Says Stamps Wednesday Challenge.

This week the theme was based on a mood board. The product focus was Paper Smooches.

I lucked out on this as I already had some images from Paper Smooches  Chubby Chums already colored in the above colors. The only thing I was missing was the purple and yellow. I did color one of the owls from the set, in grays to try to balance the card.

I brought the purple and yellow into the card by blending Fossilized Amber and Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide ink onto a cardstock panel. I laid out the card so I could place the sentiments, and then stamped the sentiments in Versafine Onyx ink, then embossed with Wow’s Hologram Sparkle powder. This is meant loosely to be a Halloween card, so I used the “Be Very Afraid,” from Mama Elephant’s Plushoween.

The dog and cat were adhered flat to the panel, and the owl was popped up with foam tape.  I used a MFT Boysenberry card base to pull in more purple.

I added Glossy Accents to their eyes to finish off the card. My daughter is going to send this card to Brock Chadwick for his card drive, so that’s why I tried to lean towards a Halloween design.

Thanks for stopping by!
