Happy Monday! I tend to make a lot of Thinking of you or Friendship cards. This week it worked out in my favor, as the theme for this week’s challenge is Thinking of you. The product focus this week is Memory Box. I don’t have any of their products, so I decided to use the MMH September kit. I haven’t really played with this set. I just tested out some ink colors when I first got it.
I made the panel by blending Tumbled Glass regular Distress Ink across watercolor paper. My first stripe that I masked off was too small, so I moved it out a little bit and added more color. I liked the striped outcome so much, I decided to make two more panels. This is saying something, as I was not feeling well this past weekend.
Let me wrap up this card, then I can show you the other two panels. I stamped the sun flower in the ink colors that come with the set (Butter Bar, Orange Soda and Tangierine) and the leaves and stem in Altenew (Frayed Leaves and Forest Glades). The center is Pumpkin Pie and Cup o’ Joe (kit colors). I adhered them to the panel with foam tape, and I stamped a sentiment from Hero Arts’ Hello. I added clear Nuvo drops to the flower.
This panel has a sentiment from the same Hero Arts’ Hello set.
And of course I had to go to CZ Design’s Simple Sentiments for one of them. The flower on this finished card is all yellows (sorry, I don’t have a picture).
The ink blending panel is a quick way to make some cards. I really like how the cards are so clean and simple as well.
Thanks for stopping by!
