Happy Friday! I promised you that I would write a post on the “new,” Altenew inks in an earlier post. Here it is!
When I first started making cards I stuck to buying ink cubes, in an effort to save money and so that I could test drive the different companies. One of the first sets I purchased was the Floral 6 mini cube set.
The main reason I picked this set was because I wanted to use it for a layering stamp set. I fell in love with Altenew’s inks with this set. My favorite non-Copic black ink is their Jet Black ink.
So, when Altenew came out with three new ink sets in July release, I knew I needed them! The three new sets include 4 shades each in pink, blue and yellow.
I decided to use the inks to stamp Concord and 9th’s Thanks turnabout. I used the three lightest colors, and MFT’s Grout Gray.
The yellow set is called “Pocket Full of Sunshine.” Before I stamped these, I had stamped the triangle turnabout with Distress Oxide inks. It got on the jig I use for the turnabouts, and wasn’t dry, so it got on these panels too. 😦
This is Cherry Blossom and I think it’s yummy!
On this card I used the full 4 colors instead of the gray ink. This set is called Deep Blue seas. It’s gorgeous!
I love these colors! They are so bright and vibrant, and they stamp so crisply (the patchy spots are the stamp’s design). I just want to hug the pink, and I’m not a pink kinda girl. I would recommend these inks to anyone. I invested in full sized ink pads for the blue and pink sets.
What is your favorite line of inks? Please share below!
Thanks for stopping by!
