Paper Smooches September Challenge- Animals

Hello and welcome to my blog! Today I am sharing the card I made for Paper Smooches September challenge- Animals.

I used one of the first stamp sets I ever purchased, Chubby Chums. This set is so fun, and the only PS products I have with animals.

I used a Simon Says Stamps Stitched Rectangle die to cut some MFT Kraft cardstock. Then, I blended some Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink on to the bottom right corner. Then I went over the corner lightly with Black Soot Distress Oxide ink. Then I sprayed the Distress Oxide ink with water, and then blotted the water off.

I fussy cut the previously colored owl and adhered him with foam tape. I used Black Ebony Nuvo drop to accent the eyes.

I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set in Versamark ink and heat embossed it with Wow Hologram Sparkle powder. I love how this powder changes color in the light!

I really like the combination of the blended Distress Oxide inks and the Kraft cardstock!

This card came together pretty quickly, but was fun to make.

I added the Kraft panel to a white card base with fun foam.

Thanks for stopping by!
